How a heat pump works:
A heat pump transfers thermal energy from a cool space to a warm space. It does this by taking advantage of a refrigeration system.
Heat pumps don’t generate heat. This makes them very energy efficient. When it’s cold outside a heat pump moves heat from outdoors to the inside of your house. And in warm weather, a heat pump can move heat from inside the house to the outside.
